Perketer Tucker

Perketer Tucker is the Director of Adult Education and Literacy Services at the Maryland Department of Labor. In this role, Ms. Tucker provides leadership to the Adult Instructional Services, the Adult High School Program and the high school equivalency assessment program (GED® Testing) on behalf of the Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning. Ms. Tucker has served in the position of Chief of the Adult High School Program, GED® Administrator and Education Program Specialist within the Maryland Department of Labor. She has over 25 years of combined instructional and education leadership experience in adult education, higher education, special education and elementary and middle grades education. She holds a Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate in Elementary Education. Ms. Tucker has a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from Temple University, M.A. in Instructional Systems Design from University of Maryland Baltimore County and an Ed.S in Adult Learning from Walden University.
