Ellen Olsen has more than 20 years of experience providing educational and social services to youth and families in the U.S. and overseas. Ellen currently serves as the Program Coordinator for The Chesapeake Language Project (CLP), a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase educational opportunities for high school immigrant students in Maryland. CLP’s primary focus is offering a comprehensive mentorship program that facilitates immigrant students’ access to higher education and post-secondary opportunities. Ellen also works part-time as a Specialist with the Community Schools program in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Ellen holds a Master of Science in Social Work degree specializing in international social welfare and services to immigrants and refugees from Columbia University School of Social Work. Outside of work Ellen enjoys traveling and exploring the world with her family.
