Claudia Easton

Immediate Past President

Claudia Easton has held many instructional and leadership roles in Baltimore City Schools since 2005 and currently works as an ESOL Educational Associate, supporting new and established ESOL sites, teachers across the content areas who instruct English Learners, and district bilingual staff who support English learners and their families. She also works with school staff and district offices to establish and maintain community partnerships. She is grateful for continued partnerships with organizations in Baltimore that engage families through school and district meetings so that our multicultural and multilingual families may feel welcomed and supported in the schools and in the larger community. As a graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University (BA and MATESOL), and as a recipient of the NDMD Achievements in TESOL award, she has a strong background in English language acquisition, which not only informs her coaching practice, but also informs her parent presentations and information sharing strategies. In her spare time, Ms. Easton loves spending time with her family, enjoys (and highly recommends) volunteering with Back On My Feet, and is a professional flamenco dancer and singer.
